FAQ’s

  • Welcome! You are exactly where you need to be. Here are some tips to make a smooth transition into your practice:

    • Arrive 5-10 minutes early to your first class

    • Let me know if you have any injuries

    • Try not to eat for 2 hours before class (light snacks if you must)

    • Arrive with a smile - we are friendly in class and here to support you!

Starting a yoga practice or anything new can be a little intimidating for many of us - the important thing to keep in mind is that yoga is for every body, at any age, including those of us who think we are inflexible, out of shape or not 'strong' enough.

If you're not sure where to begin or which classes to take, get in touch and I will help you start your yoga journey :)

  • I can't touch my toes
I believe that Yoga is for every body and that means you and your body. You don’t need to be flexible or be in a certain 'shape', or have the 'right' clothes. All you need to do is show up with an open mind and do your best. Commit to a regular practise and watch yourself transform.

    I'm not flexible
You don't need to be flexible to start practising Yoga. Just come and join one of the classes, you may just surprise yourself :)

    What if I can't do a pose?
Variations, options and modification are always offered. Your pose won't look like anyone else's, simply because you don't look like them.

I encourage you to find the edge of your comfort zone, to get to know what feels right for you and your body and simply enjoy moving on your mat. This is YOUR body, and it is YOUR practise - honour your body and do what is best for YOU.

  • If you are coming in to studio class, bring a mat, a bottle of water and perhaps a small towel.

If you are joining us online, a yoga mat with enough space!

If you have yoga strap and blocks, great but they are not essential to your practice. You can also get creative with what you have at home ie books or towel/scarf to use as a yoga belt.

To enjoy yoga, you don’t need to have any fancy yoga gear. Just wear something comfortable that you can move around easily in.

  • The more often you practice the better you’ll feel and the more benefits you’ll experience. I recommend that you set a goal you can realistically keep. Consistency is the key - it’s much better to attend one class per week without fail than to attend four classes one week, none for the next two weeks, one the next week, etc.

We have classes over Zoom online if you can't make it to the studio!

  • We understand it’s sometimes easier to practice from the comfort of your own home and be able to join classes from anywhere in the world!

Step one: book a class on our schedule via the BookWhen software. Register if you haven't already.

Step two: download “ZOOM Cloud Meetings” app and create an account. It is a blue icon.

Step three: we will send you an email 60 minutes prior to the class starting, which includes a link and instruction which leads to the virtual class.

Step four: ensure your webcam/phone camera is on so that our teacher can see and guide you as individuals.

If you are concerned about technology, drop me a message and we can meet 15 minutes before class to ensure everything runs smoothly.
